Wow, I have really neglected to update this, sorry folks.  We have had a busy couple months.  We moved into a really cool house, in a neighborhood where everyone likes each other.  We have sidewalks, which makes it nice to take Haley on walks in her stroller over to the playground.  Still moving things around, I really need to get Haley's room put back together.  All in time I guess.  Haley and I took a trip to San Diego at the beginning of June.  We had so much fun.  GPa Sing took us shopping and to the Aquarium.  We also met with some other moms who live in San Diego with their babies at the Zoo.  We stayed on the boat a couple nights and had some friends and family over to hang out with Haley.  The last weekend we were there, we had a couple family parties.  It was a great trip and can't wait to go back.  Haley loves to see her friends and family in San Diego.  Haley has just been doing so great.  She is seriously the happiest child in the world, she is such a joy to be around and she makes me proud to be her mama!  She talks up a storm, saying Mamamama, Dadada, Wow, Oh and Nanana, which I think is No cause she says it when she is ready for a nap.  She shakes her head back and forth and dances, also she "sings" along when she likes a song.  She is really into music, she and dada take an hour a day and listen to music and dance.  She is still nursing, we are going for a year, but we have also been doing solids twice a day.  I make all her food, today we had plums with some yogurt and cereal.  I am trying to get more creative with her foods, like lentils and carrots, or potatos and peas.  She seems to eat it up, still haven't gone back to greenbeans, I guess I should try those again this week.   She is moving around fast these days, no full on crawling, but she is army crawling, for the most part she rolls everywhere.  She can roll faster than crawling, so she prefers rolling.  We are having visitors this week, Will's Mom Anne and brother Dave are coming for a few days over the 4th of July.  Fireworks aren't illegal here so we already have a stash to lite for the weekends festivities.  Hoping Haley likes all the lights and doesn't get scared of the loud bangs, she isn't afraid of thunder, so hoping the fireworks don't bother her.  I'll make sure to take lots of pictures, I am always good for new pics!

So let's see...I made Haley a tutu last night.  It was inexpensive and so worth the 3 hours I put into it.  Of course Whitney now reminded me that I should start thinking about her Halloween Costume.  What to make, what to make?  Anyway, I got a lot of great photos which I will post and I got some good video of Haley playing on her mat.  Not much going on here.  We really miss family and friends and are looking forward to our visit to San Diego at the end of the month.  Hope everyone is doing well!

Wow, so this is turning into the Monthly Haley, sorry everyone.  We had a very busy April.  We went to Maryland for Will's dad's 60Th.  We had an awesome time and really enjoyed ourselves.  I was finally able to meet the rest of the family on that side.  Haley went on her first motorboat ride on The Chesapeake.  We also stopped by Grandma Kiefaber in Greensboro.  I always love seeing Anne, Haley of course enjoyed herself.  The following weekend Grandma and Grandpa Burger came for a visit as well as Uncle Ryan and Aunt Dayna.  We went to the Aquarium.  Haley loved watching all the big fish and especially the gators.  What is neat about the Aquariums in NC is they only do the animals that are indigenous to the area.  We also had an egg hunt for Easter.  Haley had a blast (see Holidays).  Haley also started eating solids on her 6 month b-day.  She has tried Avocado, Banana, Sweet Potato, Greenbeans, and Pears.  Can't stand the Greenbeans, but her favorite seems to be the Sweet Potatos.  Haley has been doing a pretty good job at sitting and she loves standing.  This past week we tried out the swings for the first time and she loved them, we went back again over the weekend.  She is definitely into thrills and chills.  Went on a few nature walks this week.  Haley had started to really dig her stroller, she doesn't mind it at all.  Friday and yesterday Haley said Mamama for the first time.  It was so cool to hear, I look forward to hearing it more often.  Then we come to today, today Haley enjoyed her playtime with mom.  She really likes her musical bench and floor mat.  Check out the Holidays page for Easter pics.

Rough day in the teething world.  Haley only got one nap today.  Eventhough she had a rough time she was still full of smiles and giggles.  We are gearing up to start feeding her solids in a couple weeks so we got a few bowls and soft spoons.  I am looking forward to starting solids, but at the same time it changes some things, and it means she is starting to become a big girl, a little sad.  We got Haley a few new things like an ABC floor mat, which she loves to play on.  We also got a baby pool since it is starting to warm up.  It will be fun to start playing in the water.  We are very excited to come to San Diego for a visit in June.  It is always nice to go there and show Haley off.  Tomorrow we are going to try and go to the Azalea Festival and check out the street fair.  I took a couple pics tonight and wanted to share sleeping Haley.

Wow, so I am a little behind, about a week.  We have been doing well.  Haley cut her first tooth, Yay!  But now she seems to be having trouble with the one beside it coming in, hopefully it pops through in a couple days cause she has been so sad.  This too shall pass though.  She is getting so big, mainly just tall, I think she has grown another couple inches since her 4 month checkup.  I guess we will find out in less than 2 weeks when she goes for her 6 month well baby checkup.  Wow 6 months, how time flies, especially when you are having fun.   The weather has been on and off, rainy than hot, then back to rainy.  So I tried really hard to get a good picture of Haley's tooth, but it was hard so I hope the one I have is clear enough, just make sure you click on it to enlarge it.

Today was a good day.  We stayed inside mostly since it was rainy.  Read some books, played, and Haley did a whole lot of talking and laughing.  Got an email from G-Pa Sing saying Haley was getting her big girl seat.  It is such a wonderful, unexpected and very needed gift.  She is very close to not fitting in her infant seat.  Looks like we get to save our pennies for other things.  Thank you again Dad.

5 Months 1 Week 03/24/2009

So let's see, Sunday was a nice day.  We decided to drive to Myrtle Beach and have brunch at The House Of Blues.  They have this great live band and good eats!  Haley loved listening to the music.  She sat in her high chair like a big girl.  It is so much fun to see her sit up in a chair like that.  The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, it was a nice day.

Monday we did a Costco run, boring I know...LOL  We did go window shopping for Haley's new carseat.  She sat in a couple of different ones at Toys R Us's Baby section.  She seemed to like the Graco Nautilus Mariposa one the best, so we will be saving our pennies for the next month since she is like an inch away from growing out of her infant car seat.  Man she is so big, and growing up so fast!  It will be a fun day when we can transition her into the big girl seat!

Today was a stay at home day. laundry, play with Haley, read books kind of day.  It was a bit cold again and windy, so we went for only one walk around the yard today.  Haley loves the outdoors.

So I have been really slack on keeping up with this, and I appologize.  We have been rather busy the last couple days.  Haley is doing great.  Yesterday we went to the doctor and Haley is doing wonderfully, she weighs 16lbs 12oz.  Today we went down to the Riverwalk and saw a Tall Ship called Peacemaker from Georgia.   We ate lunch at The George, it was a really nice day for an outing.  We had Grandpa "Grumpy" Kiefaber, Ginny, and Great-Grandma Kiefaber come for a visit this afternoon.  We went to dinner at the Port City Chop House, the dinner and conversation was great, however Haley was tired and not happy.  She has a hard time getting out of routine.  All in all it was a great visit though.

So we just had the best day, the weather was great, we spent most of it outside.  You can see our day in pictures under A Day in the Sun.  Haley loves being outside and gets upset if she is cooped up in the house for too long.  I am very happy about that.

5 Months 03/17/2009

So we have missed a couple days.  Website was down yesterday, so today I am playing catch up.  First things first, Happy St. Patty's Day to everyone!  The weekend was nice.  We had a great visit with Grandma Kiefaber.  On Sunday we ate at Red Robbin and Haley got to sit in a high chair for the first time.  I am so bummed I didn't have my camera cause she loved sitting in it and being up at the table like a big girl.  She laughed the entire time we were there.  We bought this great cover for shopping carts and restaurant high chairs, which keeps all the germs from the child before her off of her.  Plus it gives her extra cushion from the hard surfaces.

Yesterday was yucky outside, so needless to say we stayed inside and had a pretty uneventful day.  Haley is having trouble sleeping, mainly because her poor teeth will just not come through.  This too shall pass though.

Today we are having a great day.  Haley is 5 months already, and growing like a weed.  We are having a good time in our green wear...pics are on the Holidays page.
